Upcoming trades of my work to look out for

There is a Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty trade coming out in January, which has my inks in there somewhere.

A trade of Captain America: Rebirth, where I inked over Dale Eaglesham's contribution to the series, is coming out the month before the new Captain America movie.

The trade of Marvel Adventures Avengers: Thor is coming out in January. I pencilled and inked half the trade: I was especially proud of the issue in Asgard: I put a ton of effort into that issue, and I think it shows. I consider it my crowning achievement, and it turns out to be my swansong on the book as well. I enjoyed my turn with the characters, it was a lot of fun! All things must pass -Onto new things!

I'd be remiss if I didn't point out that you (yes - You!) can also purchase the original artwork from all 3 of these trades at the Artist's Choice website, where all of my artwork is for sale.

My daughter Violet is recovering from open heart surgery at UCLA. She's been quite the trooper, and her vital signs have been stable for close to 20 hours now.

She's just sleeping at the moment.

More of my work in Entertainment Weekly

This week you can see more of my work in Entertainment Weekly. A nice drawing of Captain America that I inked over Ron Garney, and has been used for a ton of Captain America licensed products over the last 15 years, graces the interior of the magazine on page 6.

The original art is hanging on my wall in the living room. Kinda fun to hold the magazine up to it and compare. They flipped the image horizontally.

The first time I was in Entertainment Weekly was when I inked a Hulk splash page that appeared for a puff piece on the Hulk book about 7 or 8 years back.

I'll have to shoot for 3!

More work from me available on the Marvel Ipad app-

More of my work is available on the Marvel ipad app this week, where they have just added Ron Garney and Mark Waid's first groundbreaking run on Captain America available for purchase. It was a real watershed in Cap's storied career, and I was proud to have been able to lend a hand. My favorite issue of that run is the last, issue #454 - just a breakneck-paced issue, where I really finally felt at home with the character and my inks over Ron.

And after downloading the comic on your ipad, why not head on over to the Artist's Choice and purchase a page of the original 11" x 17" comic book art from the Captain America series - prices are very reasonable and can be had from $60 on up!

Comic Art for Sale!

As the holiday season casts it's shadow, go on over to the Artist's Choice and grab a page of original comic book art drawn or inked by me for your collection! Each one of these pages is the original 11" x 17" artwork that was used in the production of the comic or graphic novel!
