A Kickstarter campaign!

OK - cat's out of the bag-

Here is a link to my first Kickstarter campaign! I want to see where this can go, crowdsourcing seems like a great idea, lets see what we can do!

Kickstarter works like a combination of pledge drive, auction, pre-order and group hug. We are offering plenty of rewards and goodies for every pledge level, many of them are fun, and each level has multiple rewards that build on the previous.

The Mouth-Watering Adventures of Bacon will take readers on a comic book adventure of power-packed conspiracy and intrigue starring the pork Kwai Chang Caine, Bacon!

Targeted for elimination by a mysterious madman and a radical vegetarian group, Bacon must call upon his past experience as a New Your City beat cop to survive. Victory, however, will only come from Bacon’s ability to fully embrace the sense of calm and selflessness that has eluded him for so long.

There will be intrigue, fistfights, drama, activities, humor and, of course, Bacon.

In addition to the usual Kickstarter fun, we've set it up as a contest between Ty Templeton, Phil Winslade and myself to see who will win.

Looks like we've already got some pledges ( I threw in my 2 cents), so it seems like it'll be a really fun ride.

You don't have to participate if you don't want to, but lI'm hoping fans of Ty, Phil's or my artwork can spread the word about our little project and let other people know about it. If you, or anyone else you know, wants to participate, it's a really simple interface - when you are on a Kickstarter page, if you have an Amazon account, it's the easiest thing in the world to pledge to a project. It's really easy to register, hit the pledge button, select the pledge level and it takes you to your Amazon account to complete the transaction.

If the project does not fund in the allotted time, the money never leaves your account. If the pledge level is reached, great - the ball is in our court and we fulfill what we have promised! We've made sure that this is something we can do at the level we've pegged it at. All the creators will be paid, all the books will be printed, bound and shipped out to all the backers and all of the goodies will be fulfilled. You've got my word on that. It's a big project, but we're all putting in the time and effort on this - it's 100%.

If this works, and it funds, there will be other projects ahead, I can promise you.

While you're at the Kickstarter website, look around, there are a lot of really fun and interesting projects (one for building a park under Delancey street in New York caught my eye!)
