The Kickstarter Campaign is chugging along-

Pretty excited about the Kickstarter experience. All of it very new to me, but the interface is pretty cool and easy to use.

Some info about the project: Dana came up with the initial idea, it seemed like an irresistible concept - everybody loves Bacon, right? I think the execution of the whole concept will depend greatly on each artist's vision - and that's where I'm most interested in the idea of the 3 artist's vying for the project. The difference between Ty's and Phil's art styles are pretty broad. The fun in picking an artist by voting seemed too much fun not to try.

i'll post more as the days tick down - right now - go over and vote for which artist you'd like to see drive Bacon home! Every dollar is equal to a vote - and you can pledge as little as a dollar. the interface is very easy, I promise.

A Kickstarter campaign!

OK - cat's out of the bag-

Here is a link to my first Kickstarter campaign! I want to see where this can go, crowdsourcing seems like a great idea, lets see what we can do!

Kickstarter works like a combination of pledge drive, auction, pre-order and group hug. We are offering plenty of rewards and goodies for every pledge level, many of them are fun, and each level has multiple rewards that build on the previous.

The Mouth-Watering Adventures of Bacon will take readers on a comic book adventure of power-packed conspiracy and intrigue starring the pork Kwai Chang Caine, Bacon!

Targeted for elimination by a mysterious madman and a radical vegetarian group, Bacon must call upon his past experience as a New Your City beat cop to survive. Victory, however, will only come from Bacon’s ability to fully embrace the sense of calm and selflessness that has eluded him for so long.

There will be intrigue, fistfights, drama, activities, humor and, of course, Bacon.

In addition to the usual Kickstarter fun, we've set it up as a contest between Ty Templeton, Phil Winslade and myself to see who will win.

Looks like we've already got some pledges ( I threw in my 2 cents), so it seems like it'll be a really fun ride.

You don't have to participate if you don't want to, but lI'm hoping fans of Ty, Phil's or my artwork can spread the word about our little project and let other people know about it. If you, or anyone else you know, wants to participate, it's a really simple interface - when you are on a Kickstarter page, if you have an Amazon account, it's the easiest thing in the world to pledge to a project. It's really easy to register, hit the pledge button, select the pledge level and it takes you to your Amazon account to complete the transaction.

If the project does not fund in the allotted time, the money never leaves your account. If the pledge level is reached, great - the ball is in our court and we fulfill what we have promised! We've made sure that this is something we can do at the level we've pegged it at. All the creators will be paid, all the books will be printed, bound and shipped out to all the backers and all of the goodies will be fulfilled. You've got my word on that. It's a big project, but we're all putting in the time and effort on this - it's 100%.

If this works, and it funds, there will be other projects ahead, I can promise you.

While you're at the Kickstarter website, look around, there are a lot of really fun and interesting projects (one for building a park under Delancey street in New York caught my eye!)

Limited run of sketchbooks for sale at the WonderCon!

Hello everyone! I will be at the WonderCon in Anaheim from March 16th through the 18th in artist's alley. I will have a very limited number of sketchbooks for sale. These are my first sketchbooks; I think they look pretty neat, they've got a lot of stuff from the past decade. They'll be on sale for $20 for one, or $30 for both. I'll also have some original art for sale as well.

See you soon!
